University of Kansas Enjoys Favorable March Madness Placement
The University of Kansas is playing the University of Detroit Mercy in the opening round of the 2012 March Madness tournament. The game will be played in Omaha on Friday, March 16. Omaha is a short drive from where KU is located in Lawrence, Kansas.
The KU Jayhawks were given a favorable geographical placement by the NCAA selection committee. Kansas is one of sixteen teams in the Midwest Regional bracket. KU is slated to play their first two games in Omaha. If they advance they’ll play their Sweet 16 and Elite 8 games in St. Louis, Missouri. Omaha and St. Louis are both reasonable driving distance from Lawrence, Kansas. The Jayhawks will basically enjoy home court advantage through each of the first four rounds of the March Madness tournament. Most teams are playing in neutral locations where it’s difficult for their fans to make it to the games.
Kansas is the favorite to beat Detroit in the opening round. If Kansas secures that victory their next game will be against the winner of the St. Mary’s vs. Purdue game.
Recumbent Exercise Bike Acquired Last Year
Last year I received a recumbent exercise bike as my birthday present. I received this wonderful present from my uncle from abroad. The gift was very nice and everyone admired it. At first, most people who had attended the occasion were wondering why my uncle chose to bring me a bike that is not functioning. When he finally explained how it is used, we were all astonished because we did not have such an idea in mind. He also explained that the gadget was very common abroad because people living in those countries highly value physical fitness. This was very contrary to the situation in our country. The only place that one could find such a facility is from the gym. Not many people consider that the gadget can be part of the household assets as is the case in the overseas countries. I was the first to adopt the idea in our family as well as in the village.
